Engineering Design Cycle: Explore → Create → Test → Share

Weekly Format Highlights:

Engineering Skills: Students reflect, sketch, and write about their Innovation Project, Coding, and Robot Runs
Creativity and Innovation Project: Hands-on activities like Pulling, Speed, Prevent Flooding, Drop & Rescue, and Sort to Recycle
STEM Missions: Each week includes a short design-build-test loop
Core Values Integration: Collaboration, sharing ideas, teamwork, and presentation

FLL EXPLORE (Grades 2–4) – Curriculum Overview

Hands-on LEGO® model building with Coding
Team-based engineering design challenges

Students follow the Explore → Create → Test → Share model weekly.

Schedule

Tuition Fee: $695 per semester with the Engineering Notebook.

Hybrid Meeting: In-Person for Robot Games & Missions and Live Online for Innovation Project & Research. There will also be team-building activities. This fee covers only the coaching for the after-school program.

3:30 pm to 5:00 pm on Sunday afternoons

During the FLL Festival, we typically publish blog posts and news articles and distribute them to the media and the respective schools to acknowledge the hard work of each team member and coach. We take photos during the event. Please read, complete, and sign the consent form online to reflect your preference.

An additional coaching fee ($295) applies to those who plan to compete at the FLL VA-DC Festival. The competition meeting will change based on the team's availability.

Schedule

Tuition Fee: $1180 per semester with the Engineering Notebook up to the VA-DC FLL Qualifier Competition. Sundays from 3:30 to 5:30 pm at our One Loudoun location:

Nov 1, 8, 15 & 29, 2026

An additional coaching fee applies when the team qualifies for the VA-DC Regional Competition (+$495). This includes the competing team registration. Hotel and lodging are not included if the qualifier assigned to us requires traveling.

An additional coaching fee applies to teams that advance to FLL World and Open International Competitions ($1,180 + Team Registration Fee). This excludes team registration, airfare, hotel, and lodging. Team registration for international events varies and will be shouldered by team members.

Regional Championship and World Competition Levels: The schedule will be hybrid and largely depends on team availability, with in-person participation for Robot Building, Missions, and Team-building activities. The Innovation Project and presentation are sometimes in person and sometimes live online.
