My passion for teaching started during my college days in the Philippines when I volunteered in a non-profit organization that helps street children. Most of the kids there didn’t receive formal education and I was tasked to design a curriculum that would develop their reading skills.

Aside from designing the curriculum I also have to teach the kids how to read, write and converse in English. Being with these kids and teaching them the basic skills gives me the satisfaction and the feeling that what I have done impacted their life.

Whenever I see the kids smile and become proud of what they have accomplished, it brings joy and satisfaction for me. Their success is my success!
