August 3 Proclaim! Day at the Museum of the Bible

We’re excited to host a special Proclaim Day at the Museum of the Bible (MOTB) on August 3, 2024, designed to prepare your students for the National Bible Bee Competition (NBBC). These challenges will condense the NBBC excitement into a dynamic 4-hour event.

August 3 Proclaim Day Program Details

1. Scripture Sprint on Stage – NBBC Semi-Final Segment 3 Multiple-Choice Simulation

• Content: Covers Units 1 to 8 of the Bible Bee Summer Study passages, memory passages, cross-references, and Greek words.
• Scoring: We will use the same Scripture Sprint software for efficiency.
• Advancement: Top scorers move to the next round.

2. NBBC Semi-Final Segment 4 Oral Recitation-Sudden Elimination

• Content: Contestants recite a memory passage from the Summer Study as determined by the judge.
• Scoring: Follows the NBBC Rulebook (pp. 20-21).
• Advancement: Top scorers move to the next round.

3. NBBC Final Round Segment 3 Buzzer Recitations Simulation

• Content:  Context of the 15 Summer Study Memory Passages. Contestants buzz in with the correct Scripture reference.
• Scoring: Correct passage recitation earns 500 points; each error deducts 250 points.
• Advancement: Top scorers move to the next round.

4. NBBC Final Segment 4 Buzzer Questions

• Content: Moderators ask questions about Units 1 to 8 study passages, memory passages, context, background, cross-references, and Greek words. Contestants buzz in to answer.
• Scoring: Correct answers earn 300 points; incorrect or no answers deduct 150 points.
• Top Winners: Declared as Regional Bible Bee Champions.

Experiences In Between Competitions

• Beginner Recitations: Watch our youngest participants recite their memory verses on stage.
• 1-Minute Family Testimonies: Hear inspiring stories from families about their Bible Bee journey.
• Memory Verse Masterpiece Gallery of Greatness: Listen to artists share about their Verse Artworks.

Awards and Recognition

• Medals: Awarded to all students with perfect oral recitations of 15 Summer Study memory passages completed through the Masterpiece Academy’s Bible Bee LMS. Students must attend the Proclaim Day to receive their medals on stage. No medals will be shipped.
• Regional Champions: Medals await all the August 3 Proclaim Day Regional Champions in all divisions.
• Certificates: At the end of the program, everyone who participates will receive the NBBC Certificate of Completion.

Please sign up on or before July 15, 2024, to ensure a smooth event. This will help us prepare medals, certificates, name tags, and scorecards and manage logistics.
