The Naglieri® General Ability Tests (NGAT®) are a series of cognitive assessments used to identify gifted learners.

The Three Core Sections of the NGAT®

Verbal (Naglieri–V)

Analyze sets of images to identify which object doesn’t belong based on conceptual categories—no reading or language skills required.

Quantitative (Naglieri–Q)

Identify numeric patterns and interpret symbol-based relationships using visual reasoning—no math terminology, written instructions, or traditional calculations required.

Nonverbal (Naglieri–NV)
Detect spatial relationships, complete visual matrices, and solve abstract shape-based puzzles—featuring a broader range of visual reasoning tasks than traditional nonverbal tests.
